According to Dr. Krishna Prasad Chigurupati, the company’s founder, chairman, and managing director, Granules has invested more than USD 100 million in the nation. Granules was one of the first Indian pharmaceutical companies to get FDA approval to export to the United States.

In order to increase the state’s ability to package necessary medications, the Indian pharmaceutical business Granules constructed a packaging facility in Virginia, bolstering the state’s biopharma supply chain. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the Indian ambassador to the US, officially opened the facility.

He added that the majority of the company’s almost 200 Virginia employees are first-generation Indians and that the company also has a group of 30 scientists working on research and development.
